Grateful for my teacher
This group is for those on the journey of being a force for good by acknowledging what others have done for you.
Share your experience of expressing gratitude to your teacher, and teacher's response.
Whether you are a student now, or are remembering the impact of a teacher years ago, it will mean a lot to your teacher and you to express gratitude to this special teacher.
You can write a personalized thank you note, create a card or gift, or act respectfully.
Spoken and written
Write a handwritten note or card: This is a classic way to show appreciation and can be made more impactful with personal stories.
Use three parts: Describe their action, acknowledge their effort, and explain the impact on you.
Be specific: Mention specific lessons, activities, or times they helped you, such as making a difficult subject easier or providing encouragement.
Share positive feedback with others: Let your teacher's principal or family know about your appreciation for their work.
By your actions
Be a respectful student: This includes participating in discussions and being quiet during lectures.
Put effort into your work: Showing you value their lessons by working hard on assignments is a great way to show gratitude.
Ask thoughtful questions: Ask them for their opinion on building-level decisions or about their professional goals.
With a gift or special gesture
As a group: Create a large card or poster board with messages from the entire class.
Give a small gift: A gift card to a coffee shop.
